Let's face it, everyone is on Twitter, and now Twitter has become one of the hottest spots to find the latest deals, coupons, and one-day sales this holiday season. Here are five ways you can use Twitter to help you save big this holiday season. 1) Make a List, Check it Twice. Thanks to Twitter's new list-making feature, you can follow all of your favorite brands, retailers and cash-back sites. It's an easy way to stay on top of the latest deals of interest to you. I posted a list recently of 15 to follow for the best holiday deals, including @Ebates (of course!) and @ToysRUs.
2) Fetch Money-Saving Coupons. You'll find that your favorite retailers and brands will tweet coupons from time to time, but it's a matter of waiting for those coupon tweets. Or, you can ask @CouponBot to find coupons for you. Just tweet the store name to @CouponBot and it will fetch coupons for you within seconds. Just one reminder: non-Ebates coupons can sometimes negate your cash back.
3) Find Great Deals in Every Category. One site I love is CheapTweet because it scours Twitter conversations for the best deals and then posts them by category, such as fashion & beauty, tech, entertainment & travel, food and more. The CheapTweet community then votes on the best deals so the truly great ones bubble to the top of each category.
4) Search the Best Deals. Another way to find the best deals is by using the Search box on your Twitter profile page. Just type in what you have your eye on along with the word "deal" or "coupon" to pull up relevant tweets (and possible fantastic deals!).
5) Just Ask. Sometimes you can get a deal or a coupon code by simply asking. Send out a quick tweet to @BestBuy, for example, to see if there are any hidden bargains or promo codes they can share with you. It never hurts to ask.
