We've all seen a movie in which the lead woman sends herself flowers or candy to make it look like she's being pursued. The goal is to make herself seem unavailable (because all men love a chase), and thus more attractive to her love interest. While this may work in the romantic comedy genre, in real life it's just weird. This isn't to say I don't love buying myself flowers, because I do. I just don't attach cards that read "can't stop thinking of you".
