If you prefer apple cider for your holiday bashes over more potent potables, please remember that apple cider is not vodka nor any other type of high-alcohol spirit. It should not be stored in the freezer. Rather, it is much like any other non-alcoholic beverage, and will expand when frozen. So, if you prefer your sparkling cider chilled to perfection, use an ice cube. Because otherwise, you will have quite the mess on your hands. I know we did!
