In search of the perfect cup of coffee.

If you’re like me, you need a little pick-me-up every now and then, and that’s just what we’re trying to help you get here at Ebates. As I watched my coffee slowly drip down into my cup this morning, fearing I was going to miss the train to the office, I thought to myself “There must be a better way to make coffee while I'm half asleep and running late.” Being a night owl, those rough-and-tumble hours before noon are always difficult, and I hate facing them without a cup of joe, yet I hate even more the idea of waking up earlier to get that first installment of caffeine for the day.

I realize that there are coffee makers that can be set the night before so that you will wake up to a freshly-brewed cup of coffee, but it seems like such a waste to go through the process of setting up a paper filter and cleaning everything out for just one cup as I’m rushing out the door. So, after a little research, I am going to share my discovery with you all: the Keurig K-cups coffee system. Unlike those “coffee pods” that are popular in single-cup brewing, K-cups are all vacuum sealed to lock in both freshness and the coffee’s natural oils that can be left behind if ground beans are exposed to the elements. For those of you with more brand loyalty, they also offer the “my K-cup” brewer for other commercially available coffees, which incorporate the same system, except with standard supermarket or coffee shop coffees not sold through Keurig. All sorts of different K-cup brewers, pods, and accessories can be found at CoffeeForLess.com.
